They are adorable! So well done. :) I am so excited you managed to shrink the design of the whales enough for earrings! They must be really, really tiny. Excellent work as always ^^

Aww thanks!! :glomp: They're not suuuper tiny because they're still noticeable when worn, but I'm also happy to be able to shrink the design! I'm hoping I can do more earrings like these...I just made a pair of kawaii pumpkin earrings and hopefully you'll see them today!

How are you doing btw? :aww:

You're most welcome! :glomp: And aww, I can't wait to see them! :3

I am doing very well, thank you. I was away from dA for a while because we had a bit of a health scare and some drama in the family. (But everything is sorted and good again, don't worry. :D

How have you been? :aww:

I just posted them here! sparklemehappy.deviantart.com/…

I'm so glad that everything got sorted out for your family. I really don't like drama and usually avoid it when I can. Health is another story in my family but I'm glad it was only a scare for yours!

These last few weeks have been very busy but I survived! Yay! :w00t: I wrote a journal update yesterday but basically I have been working, eating, and sleeping. lol I *try* to relax on weekends and separate home from work. I went apple picking and panning for gold last Saturday! Have you gone apple picking or gold panning before?

Oh great! *goes to check them out*

Yes, these last few weeks have been extremely busy for me too. So glad we both survived! :D

I saw your journal update, yeah. That was a really great feature too! So many talented people in the world :aww: I have been trying to separate home from work too, but I've been rather unsuccessful xD

Apple picking is always fun. I also like strawberry picking and cherry picking. (When I was little, more cherries went into my mouth than the bucket though :XD: ) I recently went to our annual fall festival here in my town called Apple Fest. It celebrates the coming of fall with all kinds of fall treats, art and activities. It brings in people from all around. I have never been panning for gold before though. That sounds like a lot of fun!

Aww, well you are working from home right? So it's kind of impossible to separate the 2 in your situation. ;P

Haha that's the spirit! I tried to eat as many apples as I could while I was there to make the most out of it. I was surprised at how many I could eat! I guess fruit's really not all that filling. :XD: I used to go strawberry picking with my family when I was a toddler. I remember some of it and there are pictures from way back then. I think I liked it because I didn't have to really squat at my height haha. I don't know about now though! Oo Apple Fest sounds like something I'd like a lot. I wish we had something similar here. Gold panning takes a lot of patience but it's interesting!

Yeaaaaah, I do work from home. That makes sense why it's so hard ;P :XD: Hahaha

Yeah, I know! Fruit isn't all that filling, true, and it goes through you faster so you get hungry again not too long after you've eaten your fill. I always had the same issue with cherry picking. Our area is famous for cherries though, we have miles upon miles of cherry groves everywhere around. It's gorgeous in the spring with all the blossoms. We have Cherry Festivals here too. We are known as the Cherry Capital of the World (though I don't know how true that is haha, but people do come from all over the world to be here for it :aww: )

You'd adore our festivals here. I am certain you'd really like Apple Fest, and I think you'd love our Cherry Festival too. We have arts, crafts, activities, and goodies of all kinds for both festivals. Both celebrate different harvests and seasons and are themed around each fruit respectively.

Your style of art would sell very well here too. We're a very artsy town and regularly have art festivals and shows. We have many art galleries downtown and a center for taking all kinds of art classes and things. I could probably get you quite a bit of business and traffic to your new page once it's ready. (Since I still want to order something from you, I'll be sure to tell people who I got them from and send 'em your way :aww: )

Haha yeeaahh. I have read stories on the Etsy forums before about neighbors and family assuming that you have time to help them and babysit and blahblahblah just because you're working from home, but then of course it's because they don't understand that working from home is still a real job! Some shop owners will say things like "Sorry, my boss won't let me take work off", and then the other person will respond, "but you don't have a boss", and the seller will reply, "I am my own boss." :XD: Do you have any similar situations?

Gosh, I think you are from the same area as one of my other friends on dA! She was also telling me about the Cherry Festival! Yes, I think I'd really like all your festivals. :D They all sound amazing.

Aww thanks. You're so sweet! I don't know when I will ever rent a booth at a fair or festival. They seem pricey and I'd be scared of not making much or even enough back to cover the fees. I DO however enjoy being a shopper at these events! I like to drag my bf or friends and I love browsing. I usually end up buying something. XD Perhaps one day I'll be on the other side of the booth. :aww:

Busy, busy, busy and soooo much to do! :faint:

Ah, but sorry, I used that word wrongly, not drama - more dramatic events. And its because of myself haha. Well to tell the truth Im a very introvert person, like VERY friggin introvert, I can "speak" like hell and about everything when I write (like with you now) because in writing I can express myself, and Im not afraid to do so. BUT in real life, when meeting real people its a entirely different thing. Im MUCH more quiet irl. Im just.... I dunno, Im not good at speaking about everything like I can write about everything. And I dont open up to people I dont know, I can "pretend" to be all smily and joking and such, but inside I dont feel the same. And learning to know someone irl take time for me (if I havnt spoken to this person ever before) Im still all happy and firendly, and can have a good time, but I wont fully show who I am for... well it can take years depending on how much I meet the person.
So anyway, my boss think Im a great worker, (wich Im awesomely happy about) and that Im super positive and happy so she wanted me to stand by the counter now and care for orders for people... and I paniced! In my mind that is, to her I just said "but I... dont like people" *quietly* and she said that I should do it anyway. I didnt dare to say anything more. And well, after that I just wanted to quit work and never return, I was super nervous every time I worked because I might get forced to stand by the counter and I even had nightmares. I KNOW how silly this sound, haha that Im this scared of meeting people, its really insane. ^^; But Ive always been like this, and Ive tried to get better for years and it has gotten a little, but still its really friggin bad. I just... I dunno, I freak out, especially when I have to do something for the people, and in my work hundreds and hundreds of people come by every day AND I have to manage a computer to place their orders at the same time! AND on top of it - when I get stressed (like I get when meeting people) my sight problem get even worse, I go almost entirely blind. X___X So eventually I wrote my co-boss and told of how I feel and am. And I said I was very sorry but that I simpy cant stand by the counter, and I said it was okay for them to kick me to get a better worker who doenst have these stupid issues and problems. Because I dont wanna be a burden for them. My co-boss talked to my boss and she called me (wich I didnt dare to answer. XD) But then she wrote me, and she even APOLOGISED to ME, because she thought she had offended me!!! O__O And this woman is not one to ever apologise, she is this really tough person, with carisma as hell! I was "afraid" for her for 2 years. Haha. Anyway I told her (by writing since I could never have gotte it out in speach) she absolutely hadnt! And then I told her everything, and that Ive never said this to anyone else before because I wanna seem "normal", and I wanna do my best for the tavern, and yeah, me + speaking about something as serious as this to a boss I have super much respect for = failure! XD Buuuut she still wanted me to stay! Like REALLY much! And she was glad that I had told her how I am finally. And she said she would never force me to stand by the counter. So right now Im VERY happy and relieved! BUT Im also kinda "scared" to go back to work next time, since now they all will know how I am and.... well that feel a little omnious. Haha.

And noooooow I must continue with the spiders because now they are dry enough to continue painting. :la:

Ohhhhh my goodness you sound JUST like my bf!! He doesn't like ppl and it stresses him out SOOOO MUCH just thinking about interacting with customers and meeting people. I'm so glad that your co-boss is so understanding and wow she even apologised to you. You are very lucky to have such a kind co-boss! Oh no..I wouldn't be "scared" to go back to work thinking about how they know about how you are...although that sounds like another thing my bf would thinking about too! LOL You guys are so alike that it surprises me. I think your co-boss and boss will feel glad that they understand you more instead of judging you. I deal with a lot of kids at work that have situations they want to hide from all their classmates, friends, and teachers, but when their parents tell me, I feel glad that I can understand that student better, no matter how embarrassing or bad THEY think it is. :aww:

So what do you do at work such that you don't have to talk to customers?  My bf wanted this overnight baker position because it's baking AND there are no customers because the shop is closed during that time. Unfortunately, I think that position is already gone, but it sounded pretty ideal for him!

Can I make the guess that your bf is picses as well? :giggle: Even if you dont believe in star signs Im usually good at finding other pisces. Haha. And he sound like one. ^^

But it wasnt my co boss apologising, it was my boss! :wow: I got totally mind blown by it. Hahaha, me and your bf are awesome at worrying it seem. XD Thank you so much for telling me that about how it is. Now I wont feel to bad and nervous when I arrive at work again.

Well I do meet customers at work, but not all face to face. I wash the dishes and I also clean the restaurant and such stuff, so I move around among the customers, and take their plates and such, but that is fine, and if they ask me random questions that is fine to, I just cant take it to stand by the counter and meet new people all the time that I have to be social with and take orders from. :D

Haha nope, he was born in May! :XD:

Ohh, your boss! That's amazing. You must like her a lot more now, right? :D Haha of course! There's no reason to feel bad at all. :glomp:

I see! Yes, putting on a fake smile and fake voice to greet all those customers can be a bit too much. Washing the dishes and cleaning sounds much better suited for you. :aww: If they were initially going to put you at the front, then wouldn't they have had to hire someone else to replace your cleaning position?

Darn, I was wrong!!!! XD Oh well, maybe he.... is a pisces in disguise. Du du du duuuuuun. XD

I doo!! But Im chocked, since yeah, she´s just so tough and respectful and haha Im happy. :D

Totally, especially since Im "afraid" of them. XD No, they where gonna let me take the counter some times and clean and dish wash another. Like I keep my dish/clean days and also get counter days, and also if I wash the dishes and it get to much by the counter I can go and help. But noooope, that wont happen now. YAY! Hahahhaa.

Hahaha maybe he was just meant to be born earlier! XD

Yaaay! It goes to show that people who seem tough can actually be soft on the inside. :D For some reason that description reminds me of some kind of dessert...LOL Tough on the outside yet soft on the inside..mmm.

Ohh I see! Haha glad everything worked out for you so well! This is the job at the tavern right? Or is it a different one?
